Last May, I ran the Massanutten Mountain Trails 100 mile (actually 103.7 miles) run in a Form-fit 2.0 long sleeve shirt, and the 4.0 Pulse Compression Carpis, along with XOSKIN socks, for the duration of the event. It was a rainy day and we were wet from the get-go. It took me just over 32 hours to finish the event. I experienced no chafing on any body parts, and no blisters on the feet.
During the rainy bouts of the day, I wore a waterproof rain jacket over the 2.0 top, and due to the 3D weave it helped prevent the clammy feeling you sometimes get when wearing a waterproof shell.
On the second day, it started to warm up and get hot, but the gear allowed airflow to keep me cool when the sun came out, particularly on the final 4 miles on the road to the finish line. I actually had a change of shirt prepared in my final drop bag at the aid station prior to the finish, but because I was feeling so comfortable in my second skin, I didn't change a thing.
I recently purchased the 2.0 Form Fit Long Sleeve. This past weekend I put it to the test and ran 13 miles in heavy rain on Saturday and then another 10 miles in cooler windy conditions the following day at the Army 10 Miler. I AM SOLD! This shirt kept me dry and cool Saturday in some nasty weather and warm and dry for the 10 miler. Although Saturday's run was in solid rain and the shirt was soaked, it didn't feel heavy at all (nothing feels worse than running with heavy water laden clothes) and when I removed it my skin felt dry. I was SO impressed. On Sunday's run I was warm. I did sweat, yet when I removed the shirt I was dry. The shirt worked so well I now call XoSkin my new best friend.
