Acquired a single pair about 10 months ago with the intention of testing for an upcoming thru-hike of the CDT. On just this one pair I have put about 1200 miles on and have only recently started to get thinning on the bottom of the heals with one developing a small hole. I haven't cleaned with liquid fabric softener as recommended, but will rinse and hang outside to dry every other day apx. I imagine if I adhered to the washing recommendations they'd last MUCH longer, but I don't anticipate carrying liquid softener on my thru hike. Real-world testing! I'll occasionally wear my previous go-to light wool sock for a comparison and they simply do not measure up to the XOtoes on any metric. Warm in the cold, cool in the heat, durable, odor resistant, absolutely not even a hint of hot spots. Best sock made.

The wool version of the XOToes sock is absolutely fantastic now that the temps are dropping. They keep my feet warm (coldest temp so far is low 20) while also being great at heat management. Even when I’ve been sweating up top the socks never get too wet and even if they get damp from a stream crossing they keep your feet warm. I’m considering buying more to potentially use year round as they have a bit more padding than the normal XOToes which has improved the overall comfort of my Altras. Keep making these as they rock!

I love these socks. I wear wool socks all year round and when these came out in toe socks I have to try them. At first it took a while getting use to them as with anything wool, to me, has to break in. The first time wearing them they felt uncomfortable on the balls of my feet but the second time I wore them and for my long run, I had ABSOLUTELY NO problems! These are my new favs!
